Good / For One/ Heist At / Famous / Indian Hot Springs / Alexander Bros. / Props. // Indian Hot Springs / Via / Ft. Thomas / (hotel pictorial) / Arizona. Br, 25mm.

According to historian William Ryder Ridgeway, the hotel was like a "feudal castle" in the Gila Valley of Arizona, it was near Ft. Thomas, built in 1903 after the original owner, John Holladay, rebuilt it from the 1880s. John Holladay sold it to the Alexander Brothers in 1903; The Alexander Brothers ran the spa, and the stagecoach lines. The spa, hotel became famous for it's reputed healing waters , known for it's curative health.

Established in the 1870s, the saloon, hotel, was frequented by a resident storyteller, an old west character,, Jerry Barton. Barton was known as a former Texas ranger, a saloon owner of the Bucket of Blood , and a renown inmate of the Yuma Prison, and was a man whose reputation was so huge, no one would ever mess with him, probably because he would bring his "pet bear, "Geronimo" to the bar at the hotel. According to an article in the Graham Guardian newspaper in 1901, the Indian Springs Hotel was reported as "“It is only a matter of time when the curative properties of these springs will be known all over the civilized world.”
