This lot contains a Riker box of items found from the 1870-1880's. There are several rounds of Benet primed .50-70 cartridges, one .45-70 case marked "F/R/3/77" meaning Frankford Arsenal, rifle round, march, 1877. These are all Indian Wars hardware. One cross-cannon artillery cap badge, two infantry bugle cap badges, two brass epaulet plates, a pike finial, two brass buttons made by Horstmann of Phil. with keeper and the other Waterbury with a captive loop, two service medals: one dated 1881 in Latin" preserved by the grace of god/ sons of veterans". There are two cap insignias that appear to be dig-ups. Please see photo for details.
