Lot of 9. 1) Gorgeous 19th century engraving from a book (text on back). View shows Lake Tahoe from shore with steamer on the water. Approx. 8.5 x 10" 2) Attractive illustrated letterhead for the Lakeland resort on the South Shore, c. 1920s. Multiple vignettes showing people on boats, horseback, early cars, etc. Photo vignette at top of lake shore. Unused. Creases. Rare. 3) Tourism brochure for Meeks Bay Resort. Photos by Frashers. Inside has map of the lake and multiple black and white photographs. 8 panels. No date, but looks c.1930 from vehicle in picture. Rare. 4) 1927 letter and cover from Glenbrook. Letter is a love letter from Walter Mulcahy to Avis R. Swart. The letter ends with a secret message written in Morse code that we translated and found to be about an unplanned pregnancy! They are listed as married by the 1930 census. The Mulcahy family came to Nevada early. 5) Virginia & Truckee Railroad pass list, April 21st, 1879, Many notable Tahoe and Comstock names listed, including DL Bliss, Isaac Requa, W.S. Hobart, General Marlette (namesake for the lake at the top of Spooner Summit), etc. 6) Sunset Telephone & Telegraph Co. billhead attached to Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Co. billhead. 1901. 7) ME Burckhalter letterhead, Truckee, 1886 to the B&E bank in Carson regarding check from Marlette & Folsom (who operated on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe). 8) Reprint of early view of Glenbrook showing the lumber operation in full swing.
