Lot of 8 stocks issued in 1928, stamp cancelled. Inc. in Nevada. The "International Code Machine Company" was a company founded by Edward H. Hebern in Reno, Nevada, which aimed to produce encryption machines after the bankruptcy of his earlier company, Hebern Electric, Inc. Hebern's machines were rotor-based and were sold to the U.S. Navy, although their effectiveness against later cryptanalysis methods like those developed by William Frederick Friedman was limited.
