Certificate number 110 for 10 shares to RB Taylor on October 24, 1890. Three weeks later (on back) he turned all of his shares back to the company? Signed by secretary (?) and president JH Holland. Heavy horizontal folds with foxing. Very small tears at bottom of folds. Not other tears or rips or pinholes! A large deposit of ochre was recently discovered and a company has been formed in Des Moines to manufacture mineral paint from said deposits. The company will be known as the Iowa Mineral and Ochre Paint Co. A paint company manufacturing from the mined product will be a novelty in the city and quite brings as much anticipation as the cotton mill, sewing machine factory, etc. They have received from the Clifton Heights Co. a donation of nearly an acre of ground on the South Side, and have already commenced the erection of the factory. It is to be a brick structure 40 by 80 feet, and a 17 foot story. The walls will be up in ten days if the weather is good and the machinery has all been ordered. This is to be first-class.
