A dozen iron and steel foundry stock certificates from the U.S., issued from 1920-1972, includes seven specimens. Five specimens are from the Central Foundry Co., a Maine corporation which was organized in 1911. Central was a large manufacturer of cast-iron soil pipe and fittings. Identical 12" x 8" certificates feature eagle, foundry employees and plant vignettes, and are various different colors, all dated 19__ and in pristine condition. Two specimens from Buffalo Forge Company, Greek-inspired woman with buffalo vignettes, signed by President and Secretary, 12" x 8", pristine condition. Others included are: two The Clinton Foundry Company, inc. in N.J., eagle and U.S. flag vignettes, gold embossed seals, both issued in 1920 and signed by President and Secretary, uncanceled, 10.25" x 8.25", pristine condition; Crane Co., 12" x 8.5", company plant vignette, issued in 1929, signed by V.P., Secretary and Treasurer, excellent condition with light folds; Detroit Gray Iron and Steel Foundries, Inc., Michigan, no vignette, signed by President and Secretary, issued in 1972, 12" x 8", pristine with one fold on lower right corner; and Ecorse Foundry Company, inc. in Michigan, no vignette, 11" x 8.25", embossed seal, issued in 1936, signed by President and Secretary, pristine condition with two light folds.
