Bestey and secretary Sam. Beall. Not cancelled. Ornate black border and print, vignette with bald eagle, miners, and Colorado state seal. The Denver Lith. Co. 7.5 x 11.25" Folds. There is a pencil notation identifying this as a Rico mine. The Iron-Clad mine is mentioned in C&L. It was situated on the east slope of Expectation Mountain in the Pioneer District, 0.25 mile from Rico. It was located in 1879. Owned the Durant da Ponte, New Orleans, and others [C&L, 1883, 210]. We do find mentions of another Ironclad mine in Colorado in the 1890s at Ouray.
