This is an Ithaca side by side shotgun with an early S/N 17525 making it a Crass design double gun without hammers dating to 1892. The 32 in. barrels are Damascus but the figure is polished out. The bores look very good and the wall thickness is heavy. The water table lists the serial also at 17525, 1, 12. This would translate to a grade 1-12 gauge. The receiver has no bluing left and the stock is well worn with very little finish and has the original duck pattern buttplate. The splinter forearm fits tightly but well worn with very little checkering remaining. Its serial also matches the rest of the gun. Nicely factory engraved. The gun closes tight and "on-face". The forward trigger is dead but the rear trigger functions properly. This gun is not proofed for smokeless powder; black powder only. No sales to California, New York City, New Jersey, or Hawaii. This is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this firearm. Know your local firearms laws before bidding on this gin, no refunds.
