This is a Kentucky rifle possibly of North Carolina origin.The lock is a modified, Dixie #1 lock from the 1980s. The rifle is old but the lock is not. It was probably a percussion rifle originally. There are two screws on the lengthy tang and a scooped-out cheek rest. The gun is marked J. McKee. Barrel length is 46 in.
