Framed letter with ephemera of James Buchanan, 50th President of the Untied States, elected 1857. Approximately 18 x 24" frame of a full page signed letter to B. B. French, Clerk, House of Reps, November 21, 1846. Also includes original Boston newspaper advertisement for Buchanan and Breckinridge, 1856 and a political button. At the time the letter was written, Buchanan was secretary of State under President Polk.
