Very nice example of Meiji Period Japanese Netsuke hand carved with excellent detail in the likeness of the Lucky God Jurojin, a very popular character. The piece signed in Japanese and believed to be the work of a skilled artist. Very obvious Schreger lines indicate to us this is authentic ivory. More research into the signature may prove very beneficial to the value of this piece. 50mm x 35 mmm approx. HWAC does not guarantee authenticity and has provided an accurate and full description to the best of our ability. Every item we sell is available for live preview 2-3 days prior to the auction or by appointment.
