The first certificate is a 100 share certificate issued to Jay Gould on October 12, 1880 signed by Jay Gould in blue ink at lower right with hole cancellation through the upper part of his signature though generally clear. Jay Gould endorsed the certificate on the reverse clearly on October 13, 1880, the next day. The second certificate is also issued to Jay Gould June 17, 1881 but not signed by him as president on the obverse. Obverse president signature is obscured. Gould signed in his typical blue ink on the reverse on June 18, 1881. A number of holes in the autograph area on the certificate. The third different certificate is issued to Van Devon Turner and Patton 400 shares on the fifth day of January 1881 signed by Jay Gould as president in his classic blue ink but not endorsed by him on the reverse. Certificates in very good condition. An excellent grouping of a variety of how Jay Gould handled these certificates himself.
