Gorgeous! Cripple Creek Gold Mining District (printed in the background). "Operating Seven Mines" (printed beside vignette). Inc. in Colorado, 1982. No. 2116, issued for 500 shares to C.B. Boothe on Sept. 23rd, 1897. Signed by president George McLean and secretary W.J. Chamberlain. Not cancelled. Gilt border and gold seal. Black print. Very fancy logo with vignette of 3 miners inspecting a piece of ore. Printed by Pueblo Litho & Printing Co. Folds, a few rough edges, but very nice overall! 8.5 x 11.75" According to Hills, the company was operating the Mattie L, 7 acres, on Gold Hill. They had an 800 ft. deep shaft and about 2,000 feet of drifting (1900, pg. 266). () Ken Prag Collection
