This slot machine is a classic 1923 Operators Bell by Jennings. It was one of their first stalwart machines. Ode D. Jennings got his start in 1960 as Industry Novelty Works, buying and selling used slot machines. He then recognized a market and bought up machines in states that were making gaming illegal. He revamped and resold the machines. In 1918 they built their own machines, and by the time this model came out, Jennings machines were in great acclaim for their hard working nature. By 1930, the were behind only the Mills Co. This machine has a wood front, typical of early machines. It is a 25 cent machine, with the 1922 patent date goose-neck coin receptor, and has the key. The machine is similar to the Operators Bell pictured on page 107 of Marsh Fey's Sixth edition of Slot Machines, except there is no mint dispenser. Date: Location: HWAC# 75275
