Mountain mining vignette. Printed by the Gold Hill News. Located on the Arizona Ledge, Gold Hill Mining District. 2200 shares at $250 per share. Not cancelled. 25 cent revenue stamp. M. J. Power was a produce commission merchant in Sacramento and San Francisco in the 1850's. He was on the Comstock from 1861? to 1864. In Nevada he was a mining broker and secretary. HH Flagg was an important Comstock banker! The Jenny Lind was located on April 23, 1860. It was reported they were making $200 a ton on the croppings. After re-incorporation, the Jenny Lind was traded on the Washoe Stock and Exchange Board for the first half of 1864. Jenny Lind was known as the Swedish Nightingale. She toured America in the 1850's with P. T. Barnum as her promoter. [Made famous in the movie "The Greatest Showman".]
