Jerry Adams, a token collector out of Keller, Texas made encased coinage for many years. Here's his explanation in a 2009 Esylum entry: "I started out having the encased cents made by Penny Press Mint of Spanish Fork, Utah. I bought my own UNC wheat cents for the encasements, and sent them to PPM owner Kelly Finnegan." This lot includes nine encased pennies, and three encased nickels. Uncirculated pennies include: 1953-D (pocket mirror), 1956-D, 1957-D (4), 1958-D, 1958 (pocket mirror). Circulated 1908 Indian Head penny. Three uncirculated encased nickels: 2004, 2005 (2). Also four tokens from Jerry Adams, all uncirculated.
