Preble W-6. John McGarvie / The Corner / Breckenridge. Shoo fly pocket flask, purple, wiped top, 6 1/8". Roughness on neck, bubbles. Please inspect. Preble dates this to c.1898-1900, but McGarvie did not take over the lease of The Corner until September 1900. It was previously run by James H. Ryan. Before running The Corner, McGarvie appears to have been very active in Breckenridge mining, including managing the Oro mine. The Corner was located at the corner of Main Street and Lincoln Avenue.
