Two pieces. Letterhead and cover. Letter signed by J.H. Hendy (son, grandson?) dated 1908. The company manufactured mining machinery and stamp mills. The company dates back to the 1850's. Hendy built the first redwood lumber mill, the Benicia mill. He established the company in 1856 to supply the gold rush placer miners. The pictorial cover states that the company manufactured mining and ore reduction machinery. The company was located at 75 Fremont St. in San Francisco.
