Jumbo Mine and Loading Ore Photograph : Burlap sacks of high grade ore are stacked and being loaded onto a wagon. Photograph measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2", no matte, medium contrast--some yellowing and fading has affected contrast, and focus is sharp--except for blurring on the right side. There is also a scratch on the upper left side of photo. Photographer not identified, but the photo is consistent with the work of A. Allen from Goldfield. Printed on the photograph is "JOMBO LOADING ORE, NO. 6. Nine men are loading ore onto wagons and one woman, mounted on a horse, poses. The Jumbo mine, near Goldfield, was one of the districts biggest producers. The Jumbo Mine came to fruition in the spring and summer of 1904 at about the same time as the Florence and January mines.
