Rare cover with manuscript Juniper, AT, 12/16/1883 manuscript cancel. Sent to El Cajon, California. Two 1 cent stamps attached. No contents. Juniper was a brand new name given to Camp Hualapai, sometimes spelled Hualpai. The military closed the fort in late 1883, and the Post Office established a new post about the time this cover was written. Lasted until 1910.
