Rare. We haven't offered before. Inc. in Colorado. No. 540, issued for 1,000 shares to JL Lindsay on June 5th, 1896 in Kansas City. Signed by president LE Nyne and secretary John Rieger. Mining vignettes and gold seal. Folds. Incredibly, this company had the franchise to mine under the city street of Cripple Creek! According to the Kansas City Star (Feb. 2, 1897), the company tunneled at a depth of 75 feet on Eaton Avenue and found a 38 inch vein of low grade ore. They owned 42 acres of ground at the Cripple Creek townsite. Their Eaton Ave. property was only 680 ft. from the Lone Star.
