Two different forms from the famous assay firm of Kellogg & Humbert, well known to collectors because of the more than 300 gold ingots bearing their logo punches from the treasure ship SS Central America. The older of the two is dated just over a year after the wreck, Dec. 1858 and has no vignette. The second piece has a vignette of their building and facility in San Francisco. The earlier form is from HArdy & Kennedy in Forest Hill for a 96.10 ounce ingot. The second is from D.O. Mills & Co on the HArdy & Kennedy account (H&K)
