This finely made Kentucky rifle is 53 in. overall length with a 37 in. octagon barrel. The rifle is .36 cal. and 11/16 across the flats. This unmarked long rifle has an E. K. Tryon and Co. back action lock. The stock is finely striped curly maple stained in a rich mahogany color in a violin finish. The gun has double set triggers that are perfectly functioning. The stock has a prominent "roman nose" style of the Lehigh County region of Pennsylvania. All mounting hardware is of brass with one five pointed star in German silver above the cheek piece and a German silver thumb piece oval inlay at the wrist. The architecture of this gun would indicate a build of about 1855 + - 5 years. This gun would make a great compliment to one's fireplace, office or den. State: City: Date: ID# 49643
