A group of approximately thirty-three 5" photographs. 1937 to 1939. Taken by Professor Paul Kerr of Columbia University. The photographs show mine views and geology. Locations include Atolia, Tungsten City, Tungstenstore Mine, Bishop and Little Lake.

There is a large group of photographs by Columbia University geology professor Paul F Kerr. Each of these photographs is generally accompanied by an original negative, but not always. These photographs are all dated from 1931 to 1941. He appears to have been a mining geologist, specializing in tungsten mines. His photographs represent some of the few photographs known of this rare American mining venture leading up to World War II. A second set of photographs by Kerr are all on 4 x 5" glass plates. Photographs are not accompanied by paper copies. City: San Bernardino State: California Date: 1938 ID# 37642
