An older treasure box (1885) that measures 24"x 14"x 14" out of the Parker-Lyon Pony Express Museum in Arcadia, CA. This box was reportedly used as a movie prop and sold by RKO Studios in an early 1960s property sale. The box has a keyed lock in the lid and two heavy Scandinavian locks. Keys for all three locks are included. Painted on the side is "Denver to Albuquerque, Wells Fargo Express, 2542". It is likely the label was part of the prop since Wells Fargo never went to Albuquerque. The maker is not visible on the box, but it is in good condition. See photos for more details.
