Keystone & Arrington Cons. Mining Co. Stock Certificate, Gold Hill, Nevada Territory Certificate No. 11, issued for 10 shares to Thos. F. Craft. Datelined: Justice Ledge, Gold Hill, N.T., April 20th, 1864. Signed by the president, Wm. Arrington, and the secretary, S.W. Chubbuck. Incorporated April 14, 1864, and capitalized at $900,000; 1800 shares at $500 per. Not cancelled. No vignette, but fancy border and logo. Also, the spots for certificate number and shares are meant to look like ingots. Printed by Gold Hill News Print. 25-cent IR adhesive revenue stamp, pen cancelled. Folds, nick in bottom right corner, otherwise excellent condition. From the 1864 Collins Directory: William Arrington is listed as a stockbroker in the Medan Building and not to be confused with N.O. Arrington, territorial banker. S. W. Chubbuck was secretary for numerous mining companies and later ran the Post Office store in Gold Hill. T. F. Craft is listed as bookkeeper for Flagg & Co. The Keystone Mining Company is listed as having 1200 ft. in the Gold Hill District with Geo. Turney as secretary. The Arrington Company is listed with J.F. Linthicum as secretary and an office in Gold Hill. The Keystone joins the Justice on the northern boundary, just south of the New York in Gold Canyon, about a mile below Gold Hill (hence reference to the "Justice Ledge"). Slight defect in print where paper had creased in printing. Rare. [ Gold Hill Nevada 1864
