Arrington was an incorporator of the Virginia, Carson & Truckee RR in 1862. #5 for 10 shares to Thomas Craft. Signed by Chubback and William Arrington. Dateline Gold Hill 1864. From the 1864 Collins Directory: William Arrington is listed as a stock broker in the Medan Building and not to be confused with N.O. Arrington, territorial banker. There is also a William Arrington listed on Capt. A. McDonald's Virginia Volunteers roll as being "mortally wounded" in the Pyramid Lake Indian War of 1860. A relative of our Arrington? S.W. Chubbuck was secretary for numerous mining companies. Signed by Samuel Chubback and William Arrington. Croft was secretary to several Comstock mining companies in 1863. He seems to have disappeared in 1864. Chubback was also secretary to many mining companies and the Gold Hill post office for nearly 20 years. Arrington was a stock broker.
