I/U. Kingston Junior Gold and Silver Mining Co. Stock, issued 1864. Located Marshall Canyon, Reese River District, Austin, Lander CO. N.T.. 25c revenue stamp left side. S. H. Wade & Co. printer. No tears, folds or holes. Marshall Canyon was roughly one mile south/southwest of Stokes Castle in Austin. I found no information on the Kingston Junior. Marshal Canyon, shows croppings and dykes throughout and warrants the most thorough development. It is possible this section will make mines equal to those on Lander Hill - after its ore bodies are located. [Mining Investor] D. Hogan worked at the Savage Mine in the Reese River district [1866 Austin Directory]. In 1861 Edward C. Dixon was appointed Justice of the Peace in Carson City. Later that year he was appointed probate judge for the newly formed Ormsby County, Carson City on December 14, 1861. He held this position until July of 1863.
