Certificate number 679 issued in 1866 at New York to George Elliot., Signed by president and secretary Harriet. Size 9.5" by 8" Average condition (light border staining, folds, etc.). Not cancelled. plain. Revenue stamp. According to Hollister, the company had 600 feet on the Kip Lode, crossing Gregory Gulch just above Mountain City. There is one shaft, 235 ft. deep. At the 200 ft. level, they have run east/west 100 ft. Twenty inches of "tolerably clear ore." In addition, they have 350 ft. on the Leavitt, crossing Gregory Gulch, with two shafts (75 and 90 ft. deep). They have a log 12-stamp mill built in 1860.
