Album full of photographs of Alaska mining operations from the Klondike Gold Rush period. These photographs show the Pioneer Commercial Company's "Discovery Claim" in Ophir Creek. Most of the photographs are captioned with short descriptions. According to some of the descriptions, about $12,000 worth of gold was taken from the mine. Some other locations depicted in these photographs include the town of White Mountain, Fish River, and Galvin Bay. This album is an interesting piece of Klondike history. 12.75 x 9 inches. Good condition.
