This lot follows the life of a young Marine killed in action in Yongson, Korea, along the Naktong River. Included in this lot are the letters from the Marine Corp, The Twelfth Naval District, his commanding officer, his squad commander, his squadron leader, etc. There is also correspondence telling his family about his silver star, his personal effects, etc.
There are pictures of the brave man from grade school, up to boot camp and beyond. There are also photos of the USS Lofberg DD 759. There also two illustrations on silk scarves, one nude, one sailor. Also included are four military side caps. Great and somber lot for any militaria collector. All items in good condition. See photos for detail and condition.
