This is a fantastic certificate we have never offered. Issued for 50 shares to Edward John Poole in 1881. Great vignette of a large millsite with a wagon train in the foreground. Inc. in New York. The company owned the Oro La Plata claim in California Gulch, two miles from Leadville. The claim was located in 1877 and patented. The ore when sorted carried 25 % lead and ten to fifteen ounces of silver per ton. The company also owned a smelting works, situated in California Gulch (Corregan & Lingane, 1883). An English company formed in 1883, took over this company's operations. VF. Rare.
