Very rare. "6,000 feet. Flowery District, Nevada." Inc. Dec. 1873. No. 3817, issued for 100 shares to CA Schmitt in San Francisco in 1876. Signed by the president (AP Minners?) and secretary Wm. McClintock. Not cancelled. Fancy black print and vignette of small girl. Printed by African American lithographer GT Brown. folds, pinholes, toning, notations on reverse. The Flowery District was Comstock adjacent in Six Mile Canyon. 5 x 9.5" According to mindat, the claim was one of the earliest in the Flowery district, with a 600 ft. shaft on one side of the gulch and a 900 ft. on the other. Production dramatically decreased after 1881.
