Inc. in Colorado. No. 34, issued for 1,000 shares to Marian K. Singer on Nov. 13th, 1896. Signed by the president (illegible, light ink) and secretary F.D. Bryan. Not cancelled. Green border and very detailed logo with vignette cross-section of mine and hill. 8.5 x 11" Folds. Some light staining, otherwise very fine. This is possibly the same company as the Lafayette Mining & Development Company that operated at Sunshine in Boulder County, Colorado. That company (c.1880s) owned the Lafayette on Lee Hill on a fissure vein with a 3 to 12 inch pay streak tellurium and free gold. They had developed a 90ft shaft and were milling $100-400/ton. [Ref: Corregan & Lingane, pg. 64]. There was also a Lafayette Mine in Clear Creek County. Names on this certificate did not return any definitive identification.
