A large framed photograph of the operations of the Carson & Tahoe Lumber and Fluming Company, a lumber company near Lake Tahoe that operated until 1898, when Tahoe's lumber industry came to a halt. The mills of the Carson & Tahoe Lumber Company were credited as the most prolific in Nevada. The photo pictures men at work loading wooden planks and logs onto a a train of the Lake Tahoe Railroad, one of the two railroads that Carson & Tahoe used to transport lumber. There is a paper attached to the rear side of the frame giving a brief history of the company and its place in the history of Tahoe logging. The photograph is of good quality and contrast, and is in good condition. [ Nevada
