Group of four Land Patents for Ranch/Farmland on the Ruby River, Madison Co., MT, dated 1874-1888, deeded to James Callaway and Peter Broadhead. These patents are for large parcels, two of 160 acres each, and the other two for 120 acres each, all directly connecting into one large block. They lie in a remote part of far south western Montana at part of the Ruby River and Brunzell slough, about 23 miles south of Sheridan. James E. Callaway was a Montana lawyer. The patents are secretarial signed by the "presidents."
