Lot of 5. 1) 1905 appointment of Henry Dyer as deputy county clerk. 2) 1921 appointment of H. W. Rast as deputy coroner (2 pieces). 3) 1911 appointment of A. J. Maestretti as deputy county clerk. 5) 1916 appointment of Frank Curran of Battle Mountain as deputy district attorney. Curran would go on to be the District Attorney for Lander County, a key Senator Vail Pittman aide, and wrote the 1921 lethal gas legislation for executions. This legislation lead to the first lethal gas execution in the United States in 1924 on Gee Jon. This is on the letterhead of A. J. Maestretti, District Attorney.
