Four invoices from DD Miller, lantern supplies, New York, 1857. The body of the invoices is obscured, but it might be surmised that these invoices were for lanterns and supplies purchased after the ship's hull was re-coppered and the name changed from George Law to SS Central America when they re-outfitted the ship. From the purser's safe recovered in 2014. Restored by the Northeast Document Conservation Service, Andover.

Provenance: SS Central America Collection
