Chest and archive of Harry Armstrong. He volunteered for both World Wars, and served on the German front in WW1. He was a Stanford railroad mining engineering student about 1909, and went into railroad telegraphy in the teens. He worked for LA Water and Power in the 1920's. Chest is hard brown material with metal corners, 21x36x22". Contents include personalized shaving cup, lots of children's shoes, American Legion cap, old American flag, school notebooks, shoe brushes, probably more than 1000 covers and postcards c. 1918-61, mostly older and more. Lock latch is detached.
