Large, high quality dining room table and chairs purchased by the Frank Patrick family in 1908-9 right after the labor troubles. After the labor troubles, many merchants left Goldfield. The Goldfield Consolidated mill was not opened until 1910, so there was much uncertainty. Rail cars were filled with goods from stores and residents and shipped to Reno, where the furniture was bought off the train. The Patrick family bought this piece, among others. Ten chairs come with this once-expensive table. They were in the process of being recovered and refinished, but the project never got completed. The condition is excellent. The table has custom folding covers. One can only imagine who had this table in Goldfield. Since it is expensive, it could have been a mine manager or saloon owner.
