Broadside mining NOTICE posted by California lawman Harry N. Morse, who captured Black Bart. 9 x 12 inches, printed on oilcloth. Dated: Gold Park, Jackson Mining District, Counties of Nye and Lander, State of Nevada, April 2d, 1909, Bank of Austin, Trustee. Morse's mines "San Francisco," "Star of the West", "Arctic," and "Irene" have been leased to W. E.Cook of Boston or his assigns. Before mining, Morse spent years as a lawman, serving as Sheriff of Alameda County, Wells Fargo Detective with James B. Hume and the two of them captured Black Bart. Oilcloth is soiled and rubbed, with weave showing through in several places resulting in minor loss to text.
