This is the first and only edition of this captivating voyage in French. This starts on page 225 from the magazine Le Tour Du Monde. Full of scarce anecdotes and picturesque details. Engravings of cowboys, Omaha Train Station, Natives of Colorado attacking, Pawnees, Native hunting buffaloes, etc. There is a heavy emphasis on the Native American encounters and illustrations of Great Eagle, Big Chest and Strong Walker of the Santes and Ponka tribes. Other Native American encounters with Spotted Wolf, Shawanoh , the Ute chief who met with President Lincoln, Big Ribs. Illustrations of Fort Laramie, Chug Creek Camp, and Jim Beckwith. So much to tell, so little space to do it. Please inspect this marvelous resource. Includes illustrations and a map. 34 pages. Nicely bound in a hard green cover. This deserves translation, but even if you don;t speak French the illustrations are fabulous.
