This is a sketch from a photograph taken by W.H. Jackson & Company in 1882. It shows a birds-eye view of Leadville, Colorado and the surrounding area during the peak of the mining boom. This picture was done for Harper’s Weekly. The piece has tears around the border and a fold crease down the center. It measures 16”x 24”. The picture is alive with activity, a nice piece of Colorado mining history.

City: Leadville
