Unbelievable group. 1) The Hunter Mining Company pictorial letterhead. "The Jay Bird new shaft is 30 ft now. We assayed at 15 feet and got $6.50." 1880. 2) Iron Silver Mining Company of New York letterhead. "...Mr. Mason is mistaken. The boiler was taken...we were disappointed.... 1884. 3) JB Grant & Company Smelting Works small size letterhead. With original corner advertising 1879 cover. "...salary at the works here was $150 a month..". 4-10) Seven Walter Davis letters with envelopes. Five are postmarked Leadville. Contain the Yak Mining, Milling, and Tunnel Company letterhead or Walter Davis Attorney letterhead. "Referring to the matter of the proposed lease upon the Hartford and Peoria Boy..." 1909-1914. 11) Sheriff's Office of Lake County letterhead and corner cover envelope. Signed by Sheriff Tucker in 1880. "We are having a big strike among the miners." 12) Nice brown cover with almost invisible cancel. Almost perfect pink enclosure of the Leadville Price Current of Frank Cornforth & Co. 13-17) Five Leadville covers with the rectangular Climax Mining Company Stamp.
