A leaf from a wreath placed on the casket of Abraham Lincoln by Charles Lindbergh, when he visited Springfield in August, 1927. The leaf is enclosed with a piece of paper stamped with the text "H.W. Fay, Custodian Lincoln's Tomb, Springfield, Illinois'. The paper is dated 1927 in a handwritten note that states what the leaf is and addresses it to a Frank H. Gruber. Signed by H.W. Fay. Also included is an engraved image of Lincoln from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The leaf is blackened with age and shows some damage but remains stable and intact. The paper itself shows some staining. Measurements in listing list the size of the paper, not the leaf itself.
