Dated September 1, 1836; stampless folded letter to Norwich, Connecticut. Three pages from Sarah T. Allen to her brother Henry Allen, telling in detail a trip to Philadelphia where they saw the U. S. Mint and watched them make money. The money bags were too heavy to lift and carry around. Much more about the trip through New York.
