Lewis Drug Company, Ely Nevada. Gorgeous light purple. 4-1/8" tall. Vivian Lewis ran his drug store inside the famous Northern Hotel from 1906-1909.The Northern Hotel was the most active saloon and hotel in Ely during the prominent mining years. Vivian Lewis was a licensed pharmacist. But like many pharmacists, with a background in chemistry, he took to mining quickly. Lewis was exceptionally active in the booming copper deposits around Ely during their formative years. This specimen is the one illustrated in Holabird's book.
