Collection of over 500 art postcards by L. H. "Dude" Larsen with duplicates. A dozen copies of L.H. "Dude" Larsen Postcard Check List and Guide by Roger C. LeRoque & Nick Farago, signed by the authors. Lewis H. "Duke" Larsen was born July 12, 1909 in Richardson, Utah. Starting in the late 1930’s he painted pictures of ranch life and landscapes that were made into postcards and books. He owned a Trading Post, Hotel and Café in Kenab, Utah where he worked and painted. He married his first wife, Dorothy in 1932. She also painted pictures that were signed “Dot.” “Dude” Larsen was a cowboy, rancher, businessman and politician. He was elected a Utah State Senator in 1949 and had been Republican Chairmen and both city and county attorney. He divorced and later married Lelia Hackman Sudholt in 1967. After politics became involved in gas, oil and minerals. Larsen died on October 14, 1997 at the age of 88 in Valley Park Ranch.
