Great image of an antique "Hook & Ladder " truck full of adorned firemen, the Chief, and town police . Bingville Fire Department

Lewiston Idaho, Fire Depot, Real Photo Postcard; black white/

Street scene in front of fire station; image of two Model A cars with Fire chiefs, and an Fire Engine Truck with several fireman (5); the image has a Policeman driving one fireman in one of the cars, and another fireman being driven by two police officers.

The building next to theFire Station has a sign that says "Lodging" ; correspondents writes of the Bingville Fire Department receiving two "nice" cars and references the Fire Chief:/

Great vintage image of early firefighters! Interesting side note, the writer of the postcard is a female friend, who must fancy ribbon cutting ceremonies and corresponds to her friend , Amelia Tucker, known as "Bingville's Raining Society Queen",/

to find where Bingville is, there is a reference to the Bingville Bugle a newpaper clipping in The Sacramento Union , with reference to the acclaimed recipient of the "fire chief" news, dated in an article published on July 27, 1913. the cancellation is in Lewiston Idaho and has a two cent Thomas Jefferson postage stamp; rare photo indeed! A must have for fire engine collectibles.
