Organized under the state of New York. No. 52, issued for 500 shares to Prosper Nordmann in New York in 1872. Signed by president Jno. Mauran and secretary Luther Warner. Not cancelled. Black border and fancy script. Blue 25 cent revenue stamp. Light wear. We found articles in 1871 and 1872 Raleigh, North Carolina newspapers discussing this company wanting to charter a railroad from their mine. We also found a Sept. 1872 ad looking for miners and mentioning that the mine was located 14 miles from Thomasville, North Carolina.
